We are a small, friendly, London based family team with many years experience of designing, installing and maintaining gardens. We have developed a deep enjoyment in the craft of gardening and believe that learning to work in harmony with the wider environment, through thoughtful intervention and patience is essential to creating beautiful, enduring and enjoyable gardens.

FLORENCE SHARP-MITCHELL completed a full RHS L2 Qualification in 2021 (Capel Manor Regents Park). She has been a self employed gardener since 2018 and garden designer since 2023.

She worked as a maintenance gardener for London Garden Ltd from November 2018-February 2026, with clients ranging from Neo Bankside Apartments, Cadogan Estates and The River Café to private clients with a variety of outlooks and budgets. During this time she became a manager within the company (2023), taking on responsibilities for the direction and overseeing of a selection of sites alongside gardening duties.

Her key skills include extensive botanical knowledge and understanding of varied conditions; pruning expertise in the seasonal maintenance of roses, fruit trees, shrubs and climbers; experience in sustainable practices, focused on soil health, composting, and eco-friendly pest and disease management; experienced in developing and sourcing tailored planting schemes, from full concept and implementation plans; extensive knowledge of proactive maintenance including strategic approaches to seasonal cycles, prioritising plant health and aesthetic longevity.

Above all she is a reliable, communicative garden professional, dedicated to building long-term, collaborative relationships with individual clients, client teams and designers.

ALAN MITCHELL worked in architecture for the best part of forty years before becoming a professional gardener. He has worked with his daughter Florence since 2022 and with London Garden Ltd since 2024. He is also a keen allotmenteer.

Alan brings to the team both gardening labour and the experience of designing with external landscape materials within architectural settings.

For larger scale tasks we have access to a wider network of skilled professionals to expand the team.
